How to Use the Free Time Converter

Plan international calls, meetings, and remote work hours without guessing. This tool shows real-time overlaps across countries so you always pick the right moment.

1. Add cities or time zones

Use the search bar to add cities (for example New York, Berlin, or Singapore). You can search by city name or timezone.

Pro tip: Add your main client or team location first.

2. Reorder cities

Drag and drop cities up or down. The top city becomes the reference timezone for all calculations.

For US-based work, keep New York or Toronto at the top.

3. Select a date

Use the day selector to move between dates. The tool automatically accounts for day changes between countries.

4. Choose a time

Set a specific time using the time picker, or click Now to jump to the current moment. All cities update instantly.

5. Click the timeline

Click directly on any hour block to instantly test a meeting time. The selected hour is highlighted across all cities.

This is the fastest way to find overlaps.

6. Understand the timeline

Each row represents a city, and each column represents an hour. Date markers (for example DEC 13) show when the day changes.

Timezone offsets (GMT) are displayed next to each city to avoid confusion.

7. Remove cities

Click the × icon next to any city to remove it from the view. The timeline recalculates instantly.

Pro tips for remote work

  • Limit your view to 3–5 cities for clarity
  • Schedule EU calls between 13:00–18:00 (CET-friendly)
  • Schedule US East calls between 18:00–22:00 (ET overlap)
  • Always check date changes for late-night meetings
